SAFE, QUALITY FOOD CONFERENCE OFFERED

With food safety receiving continued attention and focus, the Food Marketing Institute is offering a Safe, Quality Food (SQF) Training Course July 28 – 30 in Ft. Myers.

The SQF Program is a fully integrated food safety and quality management program designed specifically for the food industry. SQF certification provides an independent and external validation that a product complies with regulatory standards as well as specified criteria in SQF standards. Moreover, suppliers can provide further assurance that products have been produced, prepared and handled according to the highest possible criterion.

The SQF Program is making significant contributions to food safety and quality throughout the domestic and international retail supply chains. This conference provides an exceptional forum to learn about initiatives in food safety, quality standards and certification systems. Suppliers and retailers also have opportunities to network with training and certification providers to share information and exchange ideas.

This particular SQF course focuses on a common approach to implementing SQF 1000 and SQF 2000 systems. Upon completion, participants will have a full understanding of the SQF program and meet the SQF training requirements to be designated as a SQF Practitioner.

The session will be held at the Holiday Inn Downtown Historic District in Ft. Myers, and is limited to the first 20 participants. To register, or if you have questions regarding the conference, call (202) 220-0606.
