METHYL BROMIDE ALLOCATION RULE COMPLIANCE MEETINGS HELD AROUND THE STATE

Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association's Environmental & Pest Management Division, in cooperation with the registrants and distributors of methyl bromide and county extension personnel, held the first of six planned regional meetings for methyl bromide users to update them on compliance with Clean Air Act Regulations governing the purchase and use of methyl bromide during calendar year 2005.
The first three meetings held in Plant City, Palmetto, and Immokalee were attended by more than 150 growers and representatives of the industries dependent on the use of methyl bromide. Additional meetings are scheduled for Quincy, Boynton Beach and Homestead later this month.
