FUTURE

the Parties to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer
agreed Friday (December 16) on a total volume of methyl bromide critical use exemptions
(CUEs) for 2007 of 7,466 tonnes, down 45 percent from 2006 amounts.
-
- Dan
Botts, FFVA's director, Environmental and Pest Management Division, traveled to
Dakar to represent Florida growers in the high-level, international environmental
talks.
-
- Botts was among those fighting
for the CUEs, which would allow growers continued access to the fumigant for uses
