AID SIGN-UP DEADLINE EXTENDED

- Shortly
after FFVA’s Marketing & Membership Division mailed its Jan. 31 Bulletin
advising Members of a Feb. 2 deadline to apply for federal hurricane disaster
assistance, USDA extended the deadline until March 30.

- USDA’s
Farm Service Agency’s 2005 Hurricane Fruit and Vegetable Program provides
financial assistance to producers who suffered crop production losses, including
clean-up costs, resulting from hurricanes Katrina, Ophelia, Rita or Wilma.
