IMPORTANT YEAR-END REMINDERS

Remember, effective Dec. 26, all employers must use only the revised form I-9 for all new hires. Employers who fail to use the revised form will be subject to penalties.

Both the revised form and the Handbook for Employers, Instructions for Completing the Form I-9 are available online at www.uscis.gov. To order forms, call USCIS toll-free at (800) 870-3676. Another important change takes place on Jan. 1, 2008 when Florida’s new minimum wage increases from $6.67 per hour to $6.79 per hour. FFVA has the revised state minimum wage posters free of charge for the FFVA members.
