ISSUE 1046 ORANGE CROP ESTIMATES DOWN The Florida early and mid-season orange crop
is down another 4 percent to 162 million boxes, the smallest since
the freeze-damaged season of 1991-92, according to a USDA report
released Wednesday (January 12). The December estimate was for
168 million boxes. The December estimate for grapefruits, 13 million
boxes, remains unchanged.
