INDUSTRY MEMBERS NEEDED FOR AG LITERACY DAY

In a continued effort to increase agricultural literacy statewide, Florida Agriculture in the Classroom Inc. (FAITC) and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) are declaring March 17, 2005 as the second annual Florida Agriculture Literacy Day.

Farmers, ranchers, members of local FFA chapters and agriculture industry representatives are being asked to visit elementary school classrooms around the state to read a book about farming and talk about the importance of agriculture to the Sunshine State.

For more information, call (352) 846-1391 or visit the FAITC web site at www.agtag.org.
