PRESIDENT BUSH NOMINATES DR. LESTER CRAWFORD AS NEXT FDA COMMISSIONER

President Bush announced Monday (February 21) the nomination of Dr. Lester Crawford as the next Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Dr. Crawford served as Acting FDA Commissioner from February to November 2002 and from March 2004 to the present. He has been with FDA for many years. The Senate is expected to approve the nomination in the next few weeks.
