ISSUE 1063 APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED
FOR SYNGENTA SCHOLARSHIP Syngenta Crop Protection is again awarding a $1,000
scholarship to a deserving student enrolled in the College of
Agriculture at the University of Florida. The scholarship will
be awarded during FFVA's 62nd Annual Convention and is based on
a combination of the applicant's scholastic achievements, financial
needs, and a desire to work in Florida's fruit and vegetable industry
upon graduation. Interested applicants can mail a letter or send
an email including their name, address, phone number, email address,
major, scholastic accomplishments, career goals and financial
needs to Martha Tucker at FFVA (martha.tucker@ffva.com).
The mailing address for FFVA is: P. O. Box 948153; Maitland, FL
32794-8153. The deadline to receive applications is August
31, 2005. This year's convention is September 25-27 at The Omni
Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.
