ISSUE 1069 USDA TO HOLD FARM BILL FORUMS USDA has announced it will hold a series of forums to hear input from the public on the development of the 2007 farm bill. The first forum will take place in Nashville, Tennessee, July 7, 6:00-10:00 p.m. CDT. The public is invited to join Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns at the RFD-TV Northstar studios, 3201 Dickerson Pike, Nashville, TN 32707. RFD-TV is available through DISH network channel 9409 or DIRECTV channel 379. The forum will accommodate approximately 300 audience members and will accept phone calls from across the nation. USDA is also accepting written comments, which
may be sent via email to FarmBill@usda.gov
or via U.S. mail to Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns, Farm
Bill, 1400 Independence Avenue SW., Washington, DC 20250-3355.
All comments must be received by December 30, 2005. The dates, locations and times of future forums
will be announced as they are scheduled and will be available
on the USDA website at http://www.usda.gov.
