BRONSON FIRES UP TEACHERS AT AG IN THE CLASSROOM WORKSHOP

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson told a group of about 180 teachers Wednesday (June 22) at an Ag in the Classroom workshop in Maitland that if they are armed with the right materials, students will be able to “soak in” knowledge about agriculture’s importance in their daily lives.

“You ask most young people where their milk comes from and they’ll say Publix or Winn Dixie,” Bronson told the group. “They haven’t connected the cow to the milk they get off the shelf. It’s important to help them put these things together,” he said.

Florida Ag in the Classroom programs and activities are funded by sales of the agriculture specialty license plate or "ag tag."
