FFVA, FARM BUREAU HOLD WORKSHOP ON TREE MORTALITY ISSUE

The Florida Farm Bureau Federation and Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association will be jointly hosting a workshop regarding the May 2005 Southwest Florida Water Management District's report detailing the increased tree mortality in the Flatford Swamp.

It is scheduled for July 7, 1:30 p.m., at the Manatee County Extension Service. 1313 17th St.W., Palmetto.

The workshop will focus on the report's potential impact to the agriculture industry and information on cost-share programs for agricultural operations in the Upper Myakka River region will be discussed. For further information, contact Alan Peirce at (850) 521-0455.
