CONVENTION TO FEATURE PACA EXPERTS

FFVA’s 62nd Annual Convention will feature an educational session on the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) featuring several knowledgable speakers.

They are: Bruce Summers, Chief of Fruit and Vegetable Programs, USDA Agricultural Marketing Service’s PACA Branch; Bob Parker, Regional Director of PACA’s Fort Worth, Texas office; and Priscilla Grannis, a lawyer for Rynn & Janowsky of Naples.
As part of the Sales Strategies for Growth educational session, the presentation will address how to protect PACA rights under the electronic data interchange (EDI) system, how to seek reparations under PACA and other concerns.

The two-hour session will also feature a presentation on future trends in the fruit and vegetable industry. It’s scheduled for Monday, September 26 at 3:00 p.m.
The convention, themed Survivor - Outgrow, Outmarket, Outperform, will be held September 25-27 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.
