ITC TO INVESTIGATE FRESH CITRUS MARKET

At the request of the House Ways and Means Committee, the U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into trade practices regarding navel oranges and lemons.

The committee said U.S. citrus growers would like to know more about competitive conditions affecting those sectors of their industry.

The ITC, an independent, nonpartisan, factfinding federal agency, will investigate general conditions, production practices, consumption and trade policies taking place in the U.S. and several other countries.
