USDA CONTINUES NATIONWIDE FARM BILL LISTENING TOUR

USDA announced Wednesday (August 3) it has scheduled additional listening sessions as part of its nationwide farm bill listening tour. The public is invited to attend the forums to offer comments on farm bill policy.

The revised schedule of Farm Bill Forums is as follows:
August 11, 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (CDT), Iowa State Fair, Des Moines, Iowa
August 12, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (PDT), Fresno County Fairgrounds, Fresno, California
August 16, 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon (EDT), Penn State University's Ag Progress Days, University Park, Pennsylvania
August 17, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (MDT) Jackson Hole, Wyoming
August 18, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (CDT), Indianapolis, Indiana

You are also welcome to submit comments via the USDA Farm Bill Forums website at http://www.usda.gov/farmbill. Additional listening sessions will be scheduled at a later time.

FFVA has requested Florida as a venue for a future session. USDA has not yet responded with a commitment.
