FAS ACCEPTING TRADE ADJUSTMENT ASSISTANCE PETITIONS

The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) is now accepting Trade Adjustment Assistance for Farmers petitions for fiscal year 2006. Growers may file a form FAS-930 or other acceptable petitions through January 31, 2006.

The trade adjustment assistance program was established in 2002 to provide technical assistance and cash benefits to producers affected by increases in imports.

Send petitions to FAS, ITP/IPPD, MS -1021, Washington, D.C., 20250-1021 or via email to trade.adjustment@fas.usda.gov. You may also fax petitions to (202) 720-0876. Additional information is available at www.fas.usda.gov/itp/taa/taaindex.htm.
