GROWERS GROUP ORGANIZING HURRICANE RELIEF FUND

The Southeast Produce Council, in conjunction with Supervalu Inc., CH Robinson Worldwide and other organizations, is organizing an emergency hurricane relief program to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables to those suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Fresh product and cash donations are needed in order to meet the goal of shipping one truckload of produce a week for as long as necessary.

The greatest need is for fresh products that can be eaten without preparation. Please call or email Task Force Chairman Tom Page, (863) 687-3641, Tom.A.Page@supervalu.com, to coordinate your shipment.

Cash donations may be sent to
