REMINDER: OPERATION CLEANSWEEP STILL ACCEPTING PESTICIDES

Florida’s Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is still conducting Operation Cleansweep, a program that provides farmers, nursery operators, and others a one-time safe and economical way to dispose of their cancelled, suspended, and unusable pesticides.

Since 1995, Operation Cleansweep has collected and disposed of nearly 1,000,000 pounds (483.5 tons) of cancelled, suspended and unusable pesticides from almost 1,400 participants in 65 counties. FDACS will dispatch a contractor to each participant’s farm or business facility to pick up the pesticides.
