USDA AWARDS MORE THAN $14 MILLION IN WATER RESOURCES GRANTS

USDA awarded more than $14 million in grants November 4 to universities and private enterprises nationwide to address water supply and water quality issues. The funds stem from two programs administered by the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service; the National Integrated Water Quality Program and the National Research Initiative Watershed Processes and Water Resources Program.

The University of Florida was allotted $238,000 for its project entitled "Improving Water Quality at the Watershed Level by Targeting High Return Stakeholders."
