REMINDER: WPS ROAD SHOWS KICK OFF MARCH 6

As mentioned in last week’s Rap-Up, the first of nine Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Road Shows will be held March 6, 5:30 p.m. at John D. Campbell Ag Center in Homestead. The show will travel to Belle Glade and Palm Beach the next day, to Immokalee and Palmetto March 8 and to Bartow and the St. Augustine area March 9. Plant City and Quincy appearances are scheduled for early May.

The WPS Road Show is very important for keeping your firm up to date with the latest on WPS, worker safety in general and minimization of worker exposure.

The shows are made possible by the Worker Protection Standard Road Show Production Group: FFVA, FDACS, UF Pesticide Information Office, Florida Farm Bureau, Florida Fertilizer and Agrichemical Association, and Florida Citrus Mutual.

A total of 2 restricted use pesticide CEUs (aerial, ag row, ag tree or private) are available for certified applicators, and 2 CEUs are also available for Certified Crop Advisors as well.
