FDA ISSUES FRESH-CUT GUIDANCE

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued its Draft Guidance for the Safe Production of Fresh-Cut Produce Wednesday (March 1).

The document is designed to help producers minimize microbial food safety hazards common to the processing of most fresh-cut fruits and vegetables sold to consumers in a ready-to-eat form.
