ISSUE 1106 VALUE-ADDED
GRANTS AVAILABLE USDA
Rural Business Service has announced it has made available grants for value-added
ventures. Eligible applicants independent producers, agriculture producer groups,
farmer or rancher cooperatives, or legally-defined, majority-controlled producer-based
business ventures. If the applicant is an unincorporated group (steering committee),
it must form a legal entity before the grant agreement can be signed. The
primary objective of this grant program is to help eligible individuals and groups
create marketing opportunities and to help develop business plans for viable marketing
