RELEASES SECOND FARM BILL PAPER Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns released a conservation program analysis paper Thursday (June 8) authored by USDA economists. Its the second in a series of papers intended to provide information about specific topics and continue the national discussion about policy alternatives in preparation for the 2007 Farm Bill. The
paper discusses natural resource issues, current USDA conservation programs, and
policy alternatives. The conservation paper is available at: http://www.usda.gov/farmbill.
