ENGLISH RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD FFVA
honored citrus grower and agricultural leader Hugh English September 19 with its
Distinguished Service Award. English, a former FFVA Chairman, has devoted much
of his life to the Southwest Florida citrus industry. The award was presented
at FFVAs Annual Convention at the Ritz-Carlton Resort in Naples. Englishs
industry involvement is extensive: highlights include his 35 years as Corporate
Vice President Citrus Division, A. Duda & Sons; member of FFVAs
Board of Directors and Executive Committee; Founding President of Gulf Citrus
Growers Association; and positions of leadership with the Farm Bureau (county,
state and national levels). He also served in many capacities with the Florida
