110TH CONGRESS SWORN IN - GLIMMER OF HOPE FOR IMMIGRATION REFORM
The 110th Congress, with its Democratic majority, was sworn in Thursday, (Jan. 4), bringing a glimmer of hope for supporters of immigration reform.

The House and Senate leadership have indicated that comprehensive reform is a priority issue for this Congress, although the window of opportunity may be brief. The AgJOBS bill, which contains guest worker provisions and adjustment of status for agricultural workers already in this country, is expected to be re-introduced as early as this week.
