May 7, 2007 ISSUE 1165 FLORIDA LEGISLATURE SUPPORTS 25 BY ‘25 INITIATIVE The Florida Legislature has adopted resolutions in support of the 25 by '25 initiative and the increased production of renewable energy by the agricultural community. The resolutions state that each chamber supports the vision of 25 by ‘25 and encourages the production of renewable energy and fuels by farms and ranches to help meet future energy needs. The 25 by '25 initiative envisions American farms and ranches meeting 25 percent of the nation's energy demands by the year 2025.
