FRUIT FLY FOUND IN VALRICO

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and USDA officials announced July 12 that state and federal agricultural inspectors are setting fruit fly traps in the Valrico area in response to finding a single male fruit fly related to the Oriental fruit fly.

The fly was found in a trap hanging in a sweet orange tree during a routine inspection.
