HUGH ENGLISH TO BE INDUCTED INTO AG HALL OF FAME

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson and the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Foundation announced Oct. 22 that former FFVA Chairman Hugh English is among the agricultural leaders who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame next year.

The other three inductees are Pete Clemons of Okeechobee, Fritz Stein Jr. of Belle Glade and Alto Alfred Straughn of Waldo.

They will be inducted into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame during the 30th annual awards celebration on Feb. 12, 2008, during the Florida State Fair in Tampa. These four inductees will bring the total to 124.
