TRADE COMMISSION AFFIRMS DUMPING DECISION ON BRAZILIAN OJ

The U.S. International Trade Commission has again said that Brazilian orange juice dumped in the United States at less than fair value prices harmed Florida citrus growers and processors. The commission, in a decision dated Oct. 19 and released last week, reaffirmed its March 2006 decision that the top five Brazilian citrus processors dumped orange juice in the U.S. earlier this decade.

In a separate decision released Oct. 24, the commission turned down Tropicana Products Inc.’s request to reconsider its dumping decision in the face of changing circumstances.
