INDUSTRY URGED TO PRESS LEGISLATORS TO PASS AGJOBS BILL

The FFVA is urging Producer Members to contact their Congressional delegation to support the AgJOBS legislation.

In an Action Alert sent Oct. 22, FFVA pointed to the worsening labor situation, including shortages occuring in some regions of the country. “Now is the time to work toward the passage of AgJOBS, which would provide agricultural employers access to the able and willing workforce they need to continue growing and harvesting crops,” the Alert states.

Members are strongly encouraged to respond. Instructions are included in the Action Alert on how to send a fax or e-mail. If you did not receive the Alert, CLICK HERE for additional information and instructions on how to contact your legislators.

Another way to contact members of Congress and learn more about AgJOBS is through the new AgJOBS Web site: www.saveusfarms.org. The site is sponsored by the Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform.

Members also are encouraged to contact vendors and others with whom they do business to join in the fight for AgJOBS.
