APHIS ISSUES ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT ON CITRUS GREENING AND ASIAN CITRUS PSYLLID

USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service announced in the Nov. 2 Federal Register the availability of an environmental assessment on citrus greening and the Asian citrus psyllid.

APHIS prepared the report to determine the environmental impacts anticipated as a result of a new federal order expanding the domestic quarantine of citrus greening and the citrus psyllid.

APHIS is seeking comments on the assessment, entitled Movement of Regulated Articles from a Citrus Greening Quarantine Zone. To view the document and instructions for submitting written comments, go to www.regulations.gov or call Stephen Poe at (301) 734-8899.
