REMINDER: TRAINING SESSION OFFERED ON FOOD SAFETY GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES

Food safety is a top priority for all Florida fruit and vegetable growers. As part of the Ag Expo producers, handlers and packinghouse professionals will have the opportunity on Friday, Dec. 7, to learn the latest in food safety practices and earn some of the required CEU credits necessary for educational certification.

The information and training presented in this one-day seminar meets the mandatory educational requirements for growers and is essential for fruiting vegetable, leafy green, cantaloupe, melon, blueberry and strawberry growers.

Subjects scheduled to be covered include: GAP Issues Overview, Traceback Case Studies, Managing the Audit Process, Worker Education and Training, and Crisis Management Practices.
