SIGNUP BEGINS FOR CONSERVATION INNOVATION GRANTS

USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) announced recently its request for proposals for Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) for fiscal year 2008. The CIG program is designed to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies.

Funding for CIG is made available through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). All proposed CIG projects must involve EQIP-eligible producers.
