FARM TO FUEL SUMMIT COMING

The 2008 Farm to Fuel Summit will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel, Orlando, July 30 to Aug. 1. The event was developed to promote the production and distribution of renewable energy from Florida-grown crops, agricultural waste and other biomass. It will provide industry members with an opportunity to learn, network and strategize.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson is a champion of the Farm to Fuel initiative and urged Congress May 23 to resist efforts to slow down the production of ethanol and bio-diesel, arguing that the production of alternative fuels is the most effective option in assuring that fuel prices moderate and that future energy costs are affordable.
