STRAWBERRY PIONEER PASSES AWAY

Roy Parke Jr., a pioneer of the Florida strawberry industry, died June 5 following a heart attack. He was 87.

Parke played a key role in building the Florida strawberry industry around Plant City into the nation's largest supplier of fresh strawberries from November to March.
FFVA extends its thoughts and sympathies to the Parke family.
