SFWMD LIFTS EMERGENCY RESTRICTIONS FOR AGRICULTURE

The South Florida Water Management District Governing Board has lifted emergency watering restrictions for agricultural, commercial and recreational uses.

The change, announced Sep. 11, was made following heavy rainfall that has helped replenish water supplies. It allows farmers, golf courses, plant nurseries and related operations to return to normal water usage mandated by water-use permits issued by SFWMD.

Residential water use conservation measures remain in place.
