Make your voice heard on EPA water standards

The EPA has proposed new water quality standards for Florida’s lakes, rivers, streams and canals. The standards fail to take into account the diversity and unique nature of Florida’s lakes, rivers, streams and canals. Costs to the agricultural community, public utilities, and other industry sectors will be staggering.

EPA has requested written comments. FFVA is developing its own response, but we strongly encourage you to respond with your own comments. We’ve provided some tools to help you write and submit your response:

     -
Key points to make in your written comments
     -  Guidelines for submitting comments
    -
  Template letter to EPA

Responses must be received by the EPA on or before March 29 and must be identified by Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OW-2009-0596. For more information, contact FFVA Director of Natural Resources Kerry Kates at 321-214-5200 or by e-mail.
