FFVA BENEFIT AUCTION IS SEPT. 19 AT 63RD ANNUAL CONVENTION

MAITLAND, Fla. (August 4, 2006) The 8th Annual Benefit Auction will be held at the FFVA convention on Tuesday, September 19, 2006. The beneficiary this year is the Florida Fruit & Vegetable Research and Education Foundation Migrant Scholarship Program.

This scholarship program provides scholarships to college students who are the sons or daughters of migrant or seasonal farmworkers.

In 2005, this auction raised a $38,091, and the Above-And-Beyond Friends of RCMA contributed another $20,000.

We hope to make this another record-breaking year for the auction! If you could participate by donating an item for the auction, please contact Sonia Tighe at 813-975-8377. She will be happy to suggest donation ideas or put together a gift basket on your behalf.
