SENATE, HOUSE PANELS ANNOUNCE APPROPRIATIONS

The House Policy and Budget Council and the Senate Fiscal Policy and Calendar committee approved their respective 2008-09 appropriations bills on April 3. Both the House and Senate appropriations bills are expected to be heard and passed next week. A conference committee will then be appointed to work out the differences in the two bills.
