SPECIALTY CROP GRANT FUNDS PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN FDACS AND FNGLA

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services says it will establish a partnership program with the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA) to conduct several initiatives. The two-year program was made possible by a USDA specialty crop block grant. Funded initiatives include an interactive educational exhibit at the 2008 Disney Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, improvements in FNGLA’s online plant locater service and public service announcements promoting the use of eco-friendly plants.
